Anyhow, that’s just an impression I’ve gotten from hearing a lot of talk and reading a lot of reviews of Espire. It makes me think of Skyrim a bit… sure, the mechanics allow for some pretty ridiculous things, but if you roleplay a bit and decide what to make of it and perhaps even how to restrict yourself you can have an amazing time.
It honestly sounds like one of those games that can be largely what you make of it… For example, there are complaints that it is not punishing enough if you are not very stealthy, and you can for example just punch your way through all the enemies without dying, so why be stealthy? But if you treat it a little more like a sandbox and you as the player personally decide/dedicate to being stealthy, or not utilizing overpowered tactics if you are discovered by the enemy, and perhaps use your imagination a bit it may provide a great playground for that kind of gameplay. But on quest specifically I would say the opinions i’ve come across are generally more positive. really rather extreme opinions in both directions. Sorry I have not played espire personally, but I can offer that I have observed people having very positive experiences with it as well as many having very poor opinions on it.
